• Good story line

• Teaches about excavation while you play

• Good information about Viking artefacts

• Option to change the alignment of the game if needed.

• Cartoon graphics but they work with the game.

Negatives

• Prior knowledge about excavation could be needed

• Not long enough as it only lasts 10mins approx. 

BBC Horrible Histories: Viking Explorer

Positives

• Good Viking actor

• Good story line

• Good damage meter

• Good instructions

Negatives

• The beginning does not look as realistic as it is meant to

• Control is not very easy as you use the mouse to guide the bird and boat

• Very easy to lose 

BBC Viking Quest

Positives

• Good story line

• Good decisions to make

• Shows you how the boats were made

• Due to the decision making there are many outcomes of the game

Negatives

• Lots of reading throughout  

• It wouldn’t suit a lot of children as its more a game of logic

Viking Training School

Positives

• Three challenges so caters for all interests

• Shows you your name in Viking

• Hard to control on the craft challenge 

Negatives

• Annoying background music

• Poor graphics
